Mediation Training Programs at CDSC

Since 1990, over 500 people have participated in CDSC's mediation training programs. We attract lawyers, mental health clinicians, educators and business professionals -- many of whom have joined CDSC's mediation panel.

Basic Mediation Training

This 33-hour training is for attorneys, human resource specialists, educators, mental health clinicians, or business professionals who are interested in incorporating new skills into their current work or making a shift in their professional roles. Combining role play, exercises and presentations, this training provides hands-on skill development and meets the statutory requirements for mediator confidentiality related to the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 233, Section 23C.  More»

Advanced Training for Mediators: Divorce Mediation

This 23-26 hour course is designed for mediators who are interested in the practice of divorce mediation. The training integrates substantive information with practice through interactive role playing experience.

Mediation Practicum

For those who want to supplement basic mediation training with hands-on experience, CDSC offers a supervised mediation program. The program can be taken over 20 consecutive weeks or flexibly, over a six-month period.  More»
